Twin thoughts [22 Oct 2004|03:05am] [ mood | restless ] Their great grandfather wanting to join their play had been amusing in it's way - to see an adult act more childish than even they could muster... well, when later private talk between them had come to the matter they agreed it was just a bit silly. After Thingol had wandered off, other things besides painting on his agenda, the twins had been found by their... well they didn't exactly know what to think about having a nephew who seemed as old as their Adar but he was nice enough, finding them something to eat and spending time playing and talking to them in a way that did not seem as condescending as Grandpa Thingol did. Rín thought maybe that was because Ros knew about the Bad People and knew what they had done. Réd merely agreed with his twin, knowing that out of the pair of them Rín was the smarter - Réd's place was to face down danger first and keep Rín safe. The twins however do not trust - not any of these strange elves. Not Thingol, not Ros, not Beleg or any others and they are still ready to run if they need to. They would not be caught by Bad People again. post comment

OOC: Second Game [10 Aug 2004|04:55pm] [ mood | accomplished ] I have enrolled the Twins in a second game, _ithildin. Because of the way ohmyeru has set up alternativearda playing in both should not interfere with the other as some of the AltArda pups are in other games as well. But just for some sanity I have set up filters for home-journal posts anyway. It will be interesting to see how I cope because the last time I doulbed up a character was with Mimi the House Elf and I was lossing interest in HP at the time anyway. 1 comment|post comment

OOC: Character summary of the Twins. [23 Jul 2004|12:40am] When the twins, Elured and Elurin, sons of Dior and Nimloth, were 11, their home in Menegroth was attacked. Many folks were killed including their parents, the death of their mother at Caranthir's hands they saw for themselves. While their nursemaid tried to get the princes away along with Elwing the twins were caught. Caranthir ordered some troops (ones actually in Celegorm's service) to dump the two boys in the forest, leaving them to die, whether by stavation or wolves. The twins survived however, avoiding wolves by climing trees, using their small knowledge of edible plants to barely sustain themselves and sheltering in some of the less ravanged caves of Menegroth over the 5 years since the kinslaying. They are malnourished, scarred from encounters with unfriendly beasts, dirty, dressed in rags and have regressed to speaking only their own dialect of twinspeak - a gibberish only they understand that has some faint resemblance to Doriathrin Sindarin as that was the dialect they spoke before. Elured is the more daring of the two and is protective of his shyer twin, Elurin. Elurin is more of the thinker of the two. They will likely understand most standard sindarin though probably they would understand Doriathrin even better. Age scale I am using is 1:2.4 - human:elf, based on 20 years for a human being's growth into adulthood equivilent of 50 for an elf's. Following such, at the time of the kinslaying, when the twins were 11 they would be the equivilent of a human child 4.4 years of age (though I take liberties with how mentally advanced they were at the time). At their current age of 16 they are equivilent of a human child 6.4 years old. post comment
